Purpose of the Position
The Inside Sales position will support the Outside Sales and Customer activities by providing detailed technical application assistance as well as price and lead time information for Kistler’s OSR and our customer base. The position requires interaction with customers, Kistler’s direct Sales Personnel, Product Specialists and Third‑Party Representatives. In addition, regular coordination with the Business Unit manager and sales and service administration team are required.
This position is a full‑time, on‑site, non‑exempt (hourly) role located in Irvine, California.
Job Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide accurate, timely quotations.
- Follow up on open quotes, leads, and opportunities to drive sales conversions.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts by understanding their needs and offering suitable solutions.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure accurate order processing and on‑time delivery.
- Prepare and process sales orders in ERP and CRM systems while maintaining data accuracy.
- Support field sales and representatives with pricing, account details, and documentation.
- Monitor sales activity to identify opportunities for upselling, cross‑selling, and business growth.
- Generate quotations, verify pricing, inventory, and delivery schedules, and respond to customer inquiries.
- Maintain regular, positive communication with customers, sales engineers, and representatives.
- Communicate company policies, terms, and conditions clearly to customers.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve technical questions and ensure smooth order execution.
- Develop relationships with new and prospective customers in a technical application environment.
- Maintain accurate customer data, forecasts, and reports in CRM/SAP.
- Perform other related duties and support special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
- Minimum 3 years related experience
- Able to work unsupervised and critically think and make decisions
- Knowledge of manufacturing, industrial production, testing and/or electronic measurement systems, and aerospace/defense
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Perform activities consistent with sales process.
- Must be authorized to work in US
