Sales Associate

Overview

Under general supervision of the Sales Manager, the Sales Associate’s primary responsibility is to provide the best service whether or not the customer chooses to make a purchase. The role requires reliability, responsibility, and attention to detail while maintaining a friendly and professional environment.

• Promote and sell merchandise displayed on the showroom floor.
• Assist customers with product selections, explanations, and recommendations based on their needs.
• Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions.
• Communicate customer service issues and requests to management.
• Follow up with customers by email and phone.
• Assist with any problems associated with merchandise in conjunction with customer service and warehouse operations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer needs are met.
• Perform any other duties as directed by management.

• Ability to lift merchandise of 10lbs and, rarely, up to 40lbs.
• Must be able to walk or stand for long periods.
• Must be able to listen and respond to customer’s needs.
• Positive attitude when working with internal and external customers.
• Sales experience preferred, not required.
• Knowledge of employment and safety procedures.

• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
• Heavy work:
  Lifting up to 40 lbs rarely, and/or up to 10 lbs occasionally to move objects.

Indoor climate-controlled environment.
