About the role: At our Company, we grow People, Brands, and Businesses! We are seeking a dynamic Retail Operations Manager (ROM) to lead and develop an assigned Retail Selling and Merchandising organization. The ROM will oversee a specific segment of clients and/or retailers within an assigned geography, manage retail store coverage, and execute objectives set forth by Clients, Retailers, and Business Development Managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high‑performing teams and ensure client KPIs are executed by addressing retail issues on an ongoing basis. Oversee efficient retail routing and approve routing decisions for the assigned region.
  • Develop people through training and organizational and team development initiatives using performance management tools (performance reviews, in‑store assessments, individual associate development plans, succession planning).
  • Source and identify external talent and integrate new associates into the organization as part of a long‑term talent expansion strategy.
  • Manage, assist, and/or develop expense and/or revenue/operating income budget for area of responsibility.
  • Grow base business and add new business.
  • Driving and travel are essential duties (up to 80% travel).
  • Communicate proactively and professionally across multiple stakeholders; lead change across the retail organization to meet KPI targets.
  • Maintain knowledge of company systems and interpret retail reporting data to provide actionable insights.
  • Standardize and execute company strategic direction and national policies.
  • Serve as strategic retail contact for customers, business managers, and department managers; pursue new client representation and additional business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience (required);
    Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Management preferred.
  • 5+ years of retail experience with associate management.
  • 1‑3 years of experience successfully managing retail merchandisers, P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and client expectations either personally or through a team.
  • Proven customer and client management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to direct, lead, coach, and develop people.
  • Strong analytical, prioritization, and organizational skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Direct reports:
    Hire, retain, train, coach, and develop direct reports.
  • Indirect reports:
    Delegate work and provide guidance, direction, and mentoring.

Travel Requirements: Travel and driving are essential duties; up to 80% travel.

Environment &

Physical Requirements:

May involve field/retail store/warehouse environment; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Travel and driving required.
