Blue Pearl Pet Hospital is hiring an experienced Overnight Veterinary Technician to work in our busy Emergency department.

RVT Pay: $24.50 - $47.05/hr

Schedule: Sunday - Tuesday & Friday 7 PM - 5 AM

Sign‑on Bonus: $3,000 - $5,000 for qualified RVT candidates

• Mon – Fri: 6pm‑8am = $4.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am‑6pm = $4.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm‑8am = $5.50 Shift Differential

Additional Requirements: Surgery/Anesthesia experience is preferred

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases as they arrive at the hospital, obtaining vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography using proper technique, including proper positioning of patients.
• Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including but not limited to heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes and issues.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Properly calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
• Be proficient at performing phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co‑workers.
• Have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
