Job Functions: Involves planning, organizing, coordinating and performing activities supporting exterior hard and soft scapes, including gardening, planting, landscape, grounds, playing fields, and tree maintenance, erosion control, pest management, exterior fire control projects, irrigation repair and maintenance, grounds equipment repair and maintenance.

Required:

• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• 1 year of groundskeeping experience.
• Knowledge and skill to operate commonly used grounds equipment and tools in a safe manner.
• Experience in operating trenchers, tractors, rototillers and other commonly used pieces of power-driven grounds equipment.
• Knowledge and ability to install and maintain irrigation equipment.
• Ability to effectively work independently or in teams.
• Ability to follow through and carry out assignments.
• Knowledge of the proper procedures for safely handling and applying toxic materials such as fertilizers and pesticides.

Preferred

Skills:

• Experience working outdoors in various environments.
• Possession at time of hire and maintaining a valid California Class C driver's license and a safe driving record.

Pay Rate: $25.00/hr
