Travel Nurse Source  is working with Rad Gov, Inc to find a qualified OR RN in Jefferson, North Carolina, 28640. The assignment is 13 weeks long with guaranteed hours of 40 per week. Transportation and lodging support is included for travel nurses; locals are accepted and may receive a rate difference. Applicable benefits include tax‑free stipend, straight pay, and weekly gross calculations.

• Perform operative care in a variety of surgical specialties, including general surgery, OB‑GYN, ophthalmology, and orthopedics.
• Assist in procedures such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, laparoscopic and robotic cases, hysterectomy, C‑sections, cataract extraction, arthroscopy, and many others listed in detail above.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑operative patient assessment, medication administration, and specimen handling.
• Maintain infection control, radiation safety, and use of electrosurgical and optical equipment.
• Manage call schedules every third day and weekend, with call back time of 30 minutes to 4 hours; float requirement is none.
• Work 7 a–3 p Monday through Friday with 7 a–3 p call on weekdays and 3 p–7 a weekends.
• Operate within defined patient ratios of 1:1 and adhere to the unit's medication, documentation, and communication systems (Meditech, Omnicell).

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, preferably in OR settings.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, and PALS required.
• Proficiency in colonoscopy, EGD, laparoscopic assisted cases, and other listed procedures.
• Comfortable with managing emergency call situations and wound care.
• Ability to work independently in a 24‑hour unit with provided scrubs and equipment.
