We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Oncology Infusion Nurse at City of Hope Lennar Foundation Cancer Center. You will be at the forefront of providing specialized and compassionate care to patients undergoing chemotherapy. This role is multifaceted and encompasses responsibilities aimed at ensuring the well-being of patients and supporting them through their cancer treatment journey.

Eligible for Sign-On Bonus: $20,000.00
Monday through Friday – 4/10 hour shifts. No Weekends or Holidays.
Qualifications
Responsibilities- Assess patients health status.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status before, during, and after chemotherapy infusion sessions.
- Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and overall response to treatment.
- Care planning and implementation:
Develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs and treatment regimen. - Implement nursing interventions in line with established care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Chemotherapy administration:
Administer chemotherapy and provide support to patients and their families regarding treatment, potential side effects, and self-care strategies. - Offer emotional support, fostering a caring and empathetic environment for patients facing the challenges of cancer.
- Coordination of care:
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between treatment stages. - Schedule and facilitate follow-up appointments, actively participating in continuity of care.
- Management of side effects:
Help patients manage and cope with side effects and complications arising from cancer treatment. - Proactively address and alleviate symptoms, collaborating with healthcare providers as needed.
- Quality improvement:
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance care in outpatient infusion clinic.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or master's degree in nursing.
- Three to five years related experience (oncology).
- Current California Registered Nurse license.
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
- National certification (must obtain within three years and maintain thereafter to retain Clin III status).
