Part Time Interim Registered Nurse
Location:
Emo Health Centre
Reports to:
Chief Nursing Executive
Salary: $39.07/hr to $56.00/hr
Qualifications- Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current CPR certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – preferred
- Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS)
- Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – preferred
- Certification in Emergency Nursing through CAN – preferred
- Graduate of a recognized ICU program acceptable to the Corporation
- Demonstrated strong nursing practice, skill and judgement
- Demonstrated critical thinking, leadership and mentoring skills
- Proficiency with all computer systems and applications
- Adherence to Riverside Health Care’s Code of Conduct
- Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, weekends

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or within a team

- Proven ability to perform essential duties of the position on a regular basis
- Provide and coordinate nursing care to assigned clients, patients, and residents in accordance with current Standards of Professional Practice with the Ontario College of Nurses
- Function as a staff nurse or team leader
- Accept shift rotation and assignments on other nursing units in accordance with staffing needs
- Delegate, supervise, and evaluate patient care of RPNs and HCAs
- Carry out all work assignments safely and in compliance with relevant acts, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Comply with occupational health & safety and workers’ rights and responsibilities
- Perform any other duties delegated by the manager or supervisor
- Combination of 8‑ and 12‑hour shifts
