Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CA-licensed RN Case Manager with at least one year of oncology and case management experience for a day shift assignment.
Responsibilities
• Work in an oncology-focused case management unit within a hospital setting
• Assignment is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, five 8-hour day shifts per week
• Handles oncology and related diagnoses
• Cerner EMR experience is required
• No blocked or self-scheduling permitted
• Responsibilities include coordination of oncology patient care, patient education, and telephone triage
• Preferred skills include venipuncture/phlebotomy and scheduling patient appointments
• No RTO (requested time off) allowed within the first 2 weeks of assignment
• Candidates must have been gone 1 year to return as a traveler to this health system
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Team supports strong patient education and teaching focus
• Scrub or dress requirements consistent with hospital policy
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
Requirements
• Active, valid CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum of 1 year of case management experience
• Minimum of 1 year of oncology experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• At least 1 year acute care experience required
• Experience with Cerner EMR required
• Must pass EKG exam (pass/fail, up to 3 attempts)
