Overview

Location: Irvine, CA 92618

Pay Rate: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour (DOE)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | Start time between 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM

Employment Type: Full-Time | Overtime may be required based on production needs

A leading medical device manufacturing company is seeking a Production Operator to support engineers and production teams in the assembly of catheter tubing and medical tubing components
. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in medical device manufacturing, extrusion, or polymer processing who are comfortable working in a cleanroom environment and maintaining strict quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation:
    Set up, operate, and monitor plastic tubing production lines and material preparation.

  • Quality Control:
    Inspect tubing dimensions/appearance against standards and record accurate data.

  • Maintenance:
    Perform routine cleaning, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.

  • Compliance:
    Adhere to cleanroom protocols, 6S standards, ISO 13485 requirements, and safety protocols.

  • Teamwork:
    Complete daily tasks efficiently and report any abnormalities immediately.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Familiarity with extrusion, heat shrink, or polymer processing is a plus. Basic mechanical aptitude required.

  • Physical:
    Able to stand, bend, lift materials, and work under a microscope while wearing cleanroom attire.

  • Soft Skills:

    Strong attention to detail, reliability, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Conditions:

    Must be adaptable to shift work and constant temperature/humidity controls.

  • They are running the machine that assembles a catheter tubing

  • Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years production operator experience in medical catheter or medical tubing manufacturing (strongly preferred)

  • Experience with extrusion, heat-shrink tubing, or polymer processing is a significant advantage

  • Able to work in full cleanroom attire, perform shift work, stand for extended periods, and work under a microscope

  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus

  • Must be physically capable of standing, bending, and occasional lifting

Working Conditions
  • Cleanroom environment (constant temperature/humidity, full gowning required)

  • Significant standing, bending, and manual dexterity required

  • Shift work and occasional overtime based on production needs

  • Must comply with all safety and PPE requirements
