Production Planner

Schedule:

Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Duration: 12-month assignment with potential to extend/convert

Pay Rate: 30-34/hour

We are seeking a Production Planner I to support packaging operations at our Irvine, CA facility. This role is responsible for coordinating and optimizing packaging production schedules to ensure execution of the production plan based on global demand inputs. You will analyze forecasts, manage inventory levels, and work closely with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

Due to product complexity, experience in biologicals, chemistry, liquids manufacturing, diagnostics, or GMP-regulated environments is strongly preferred.

• Develop and maintain production schedules using SAP ERP/MRP or Kanban systems
• Ensure materials are available and production schedules are executable
• Partner with Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Supply teams to prevent shortages
• Monitor KPIs including capacity, yields, scrap, inventory, and product life cycles
• Generate reports, resolve scheduling issues, and recommend process improvements
• Support continuous improvement and workflow efficiency initiatives

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of ERP experience (SAP preferred) or experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment
• Experience in production planning or scheduling
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• APICS CPIM certification is a plus
