We are seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Assembler to join our team. This role involves the assembly and testing of a variety of mechanical, electro‑mechanical, and electronic products, specifically focusing on Military & Defense grade switches and keyboards for airplane cockpits. The position operates on a 1st Shift 4/10 Schedule from 6am‑4:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with the potential for overtime on Fridays.
Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics independently.
- Read and follow router processes.
- Assemble sub‑assemblies and final assemblies according to process and quality specifications.
- Conduct testing on assigned products as required.
- Disassemble and rework products returned from customers as needed.
- Understand and utilize documentation such as prints, bills of material, and bills of operation.
- Submit inaccurate paperwork for correction and recommend changes.
- Meet or exceed established production time and quality standards.
- Use materials and equipment in accordance with the code of safe practices.
- Follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Utilize computer skills for various tasks.
- 2 years of assembly experience, particularly in small parts assembly (Medical, Aerospace, Electronics).
- Proficiency in wiring and crimping.
- Ability to read and write in English, with a focus on reading blueprints.
- Experience in electrical assembly, soldering, and adherence to IPC J‑standards.
- Knowledge of cabling.
Skills & Qualifications
- ITAR certification.
- Experience with small parts and assemblies.
- Physical ability to handle weights up to 10‑20lbs.

WorkEnvironment
Join a supportive and compact work environment with approximately 40 production employees. The role involves frequent sitting, standing, reaching, walking, and handling of materials in a manufacturing setting. Occasionally, you may need to kneel, bend, or squat. Strong finger dexterity is required, along with the ability to use a keyboard and ten‑key. Good eyesight is essential for working with a magnifying glass and small parts.
JobType & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 – $22.00/hr.
