Job Description & How to Apply Below
Valinor Technologies designs and manufactures portable, solar-powered saunas with integrated cold plunge systems. Our modular units combine competitive pricing with mobile-controlled convenience, making scientifically-proven heat and cold therapy accessible to everyone. We're building self-sustainable wellness infrastructure that helps people live healthier, longer lives. As our first Head of Manufacturing, you'll build our production operations from the ground up—establishing a scalable assembly line that delivers consistent quality, hits our 1-hour build target, and enables seamless customer installation.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement production line layout, takt time optimization, station balancing, standard work procedures, quality gates, and torque/adhesive controls.
- Source and qualify supplier base across wood, glass/door, rock systems, insulation, heaters, and chillers; negotiate MOQs, lead times, and establish dual-sourcing for critical components.
- Develop comprehensive training systems for field installation, including assembly kits, jigs, checklists, and instructional videos optimized for non-expert builders.
- Establish incoming quality control processes and PFMEA protocols; manage NPI build schedules aligned to sales commitments and customer deposit dates.
- Drive cost reduction roadmap toward $7.5k all-in COGS through vertical integration opportunities and manufacturing optimization.
- 8+ years in new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing operations, with proven expertise in production line design, takt time optimization, standard work development, and FPY/quality gate implementation.
- Strong track record in supplier development and contract negotiations across diverse material categories (wood, glass, thermal systems, insulation); experience establishing dual-sourcing strategies for supply chain resilience.
- Deep knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, PFMEA/control plans, incoming quality control systems, and field installer training programs.
- Demonstrated success driving cost reduction and vertical integration initiatives; comfortable managing toward aggressive COGS targets ($7.5k all-in) while maintaining margin guardrails ($20k GM/unit).
Salary: $140,000 - $175,000
