The Spare Parts Coordinator is responsible for maintaining an accurate and efficient spare parts inventory system that supports equipment maintenance, reliability, and manufacturing operations. This role works closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Purchasing teams to ensure parts availability while controlling costs and optimizing inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and manage the spare parts inventory system and related business processes
  • Utilize the CMMS system to control and issue parts for maintenance work orders
  • Support equipment maintenance and reliability initiatives through timely parts availability
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Maintenance/Engineering teams to schedule and procure parts
  • Work directly with outside vendors for procurement and service support
  • Continuously drive maintenance stock inventory reduction while optimizing inventory levels and cost
  • Assist with training maintenance personnel on the spare parts computer system
  • Support Maintenance/Repair (MR) management with scheduling, coordination, and onboarding of new employees
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s degree or technical degree preferred
  • 2–4 years of related experience in inventory, maintenance, or manufacturing support required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience working with CMMS or inventory management systems
  • Ability to follow established procedures and guidelines
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Basic problem‑solving skills with the ability to exercise limited judgment
  • Effective communication skills for internal teams and external vendors
  • SAP experience is a plus
Supervision
  • Works under direct supervision with detailed verbal and/or written instructions
  • Uses established procedures to complete assigned tasks
Work Schedule & Additional Requirements
  • Ability to work non‑standard schedules as needed
  • On‑call availability as required
  • Regular and predictable on‑site attendance required
