In this role, you will operate one or more production machines under direct guidance, working from blueprints, sketches, and route sheets. You will help drive lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs.

• Create simple setups and perform repetitive machine operations (cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, and reaming). Adjust machines when necessary and report any improper functioning.
• Perform operations such as tapping, spot-facing, chamfering, countersinking, and counterboring to achieve tight tolerances.
• Align and fasten parts using standard fixtures and established methods.
• Adjust feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to machine quality parts per documentation. Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks, and other irregularities.
• Inspect parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments, gauges, and comparators.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness, accuracy, and reliability in accordance with division requirements.
• Perform statistical process control (SPC) specific to division requirements.
• Participate in lean initiatives, identifying improvements and applying lean tools in the work area.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, and maintain a clean, orderly workspace.

• 0-1 year general or related machining experience, or demonstrated ability to perform the responsibilities listed.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics (including trigonometry).
• Effective application of lean initiatives.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to interpret reports and use job‑specific software applications, including employee self‑service systems and automated systems (e.g., PMR, TORS, e‑mail).
• Demonstrated team member competencies and participation in goal setting, performance feedback, and self‑development activities.

• Pay Range: $23.00‑$29.30 per hour
• Participation in Annual Incentive Program
