Assembler – 3rd Shift
This role involves the production of high-quality medical devices primarily within a clean room environment. Responsibilities include the formulation of polymers, spray coating formulations, and the production of medical devices using microscopes, along with operating various equipment and machinery.
Responsibilities- Operate machinery to produce medical devices that meet specifications.
- Follow manufacturing instructions and update relevant job documentation accurately for traceability.
- Prepare products for packing and sterilization.
- Inspect products using a microscope.
- Set up coating machines and perform coating, inspecting, and folding of balloon catheters.
- Prepare excipient and spray coating formulations.
- Conduct formulation testing.
- Package sterile and non-sterile finished or semi-finished goods.
- Identify and replenish necessary supplies.
- Build components needed for top-level work orders.
- Complete required cleaning activities.
- Proficiency in English at a medium level.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
- Comfortable working with chemicals.
- Experience with microscope inspection.
- 1 year of experience in medical device manufacturing, ideally with microscope experience.
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with cleanroom/gowning and de-gowning processes.
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Experience in pharmaceutical or aseptic environments.
The company offers growth opportunities with the product aiming for FDA approval in the US this year. For the 3rd shift, employees receive full 8 hours’ pay even if they work less than 8 hours, provided it’s not due to a call-out. Additionally, a $500 bonus is provided upon conversion and $1,000 retention bonuses at 6 months and 12 months.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a cleanroom setting with a structured break system: two 30-minute breaks, one of which is on the clock. Employees should be comfortable with cleanroom attire.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.20 – $24.20/hr.
