Overview
Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced AIT Technician – Vehicle Integration to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor
, the AIT Technician – Vehicle Integration will be responsible for the hands-on manufacturing and assembly of sub-assemblies essential for spacecraft vehicle integration. The ideal candidate should possess a keen understanding of quality control and AS-9100 standards.
This role is on our Weekday shift (Monday-Thursday) from 6:00AM - 4:30PM.
Responsibilities- Follow detailed procedures to assemble complex electronic and mechanical modules.
- Operate hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and light power tools.
- Ability to quickly change priority while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate statuses, issues, and suggestions effectively to the support engineering team.
- Update documentation and hardware statuses through online services.
- Basic avionics and electrical troubleshooting.
- Assist in spacecraft integration related activities.
- Maintain a strong work ethic, work with limited supervision, and meet attendance requirements.
- Perform duties in a safe and professional manner.
- Keep work areas neat, clean, safe, and orderly.
- Stand for extended periods as required.
- Perform miscellaneous lab duties, including kitting, inventory, and organization tasks.
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of hands-on technician experience within electromechanical assembly or spacecraft hardware manufacturing
- Experience with wire harness routing and/or space flight integration
- Ability to read, understand and follow detailed work instructions for assembly and testing flight products, including blueprints and schematic drawings
- Proficiency with Windows 10, Microsoft Office products, and internet browser applications
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of soldering tools and practices (J-STD-001 certification preferred but not required)
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Familiarity with cleanroom cleanliness standards and ESD precautions
- Excellent visual acuity to perform detailed inspections and quality control tasks
- Ability to accurately distinguish a wide range of colors
- U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance
Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Salary Range: $28 — $38 USD

Physical DemandsEmployee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job.
