OverviewAs Director of Finance, you will lead the finance department responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, and resource planning. You will supervise a team of analysts, oversee complex projects, and provide strategic financial direction across the university.
Responsibilities- Receive assignments and objectives and develop processes to achieve them.
- Supervise day‑to‑day unit activities and lead a section of budgeting and financial analysts.
- Engage with major department managers on complex projects and report to senior leadership.
- Direct operations in accordance with established policies and management guidance.
- Prepare and present financial materials to internal and external constituents.
- Control organizational budgeting and manage clinical billing and accounting systems.
- Extensive knowledge of finance policies, budgeting, reporting, and accounting.
- Understanding of human resource policies and resource planning concepts.
- Advanced spreadsheet and database skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication; interpersonal skills.
- Experience in an academic medical setting, clinical practice management, and clinical trials.
- Previous supervisory experience and ability to manage changing priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related area and 9‑10 years of relevant work and management experience.
