Overview
As a Paralegal, you will play a vital role in supporting attorneys throughout the entire lifecycle of a case—from initial intake through resolution. This position offers hands-on involvement in substantive legal work and meaningful client interaction. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, delivering compassionate, professional, and responsive support
- Manage and maintain electronic case files and document management systems
- Draft and assist with a wide range of legal documents, including complaints, pleadings, discovery responses, memoranda, and affidavits
- Proofread, finalize, and prepare documents for filing and service
- Maintain attorneys calendars, including court appearances, deadlines, and case milestones
- Prepare notices, coordinate and schedule depositions, and prepare and serve subpoenas
- Obtain and organize medical records from healthcare providers
- Collect and track healthcare lien information
- Assist attorneys with fact investigation and case development
- Prior experience supporting litigation matters
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury litigation (plaintiff-side or defense)
- Strong legal drafting and document preparation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related legal software
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills, particularly in fast-paced or high-pressure situations
- Ability to manage demanding deadlines with accuracy and efficiency
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and quality of work
- Professional demeanor and composure in stressful environments
- Naturally curious, with a commitment to continuous learning and skill development
- Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a dynamic work environment
- Working knowledge of court rules, filing procedures (including e-filing), and internal law office processes
- Willingness to travel occasionally, as needed
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
