IP Patent Agent/Patent Associate – Los Angeles / Orange County

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, currently has an exciting full‑time employment opportunity for a Patent Agent/Patent Associate in our Intellectual Property Practice Group in our Los Angeles or Orange County office. The LA team has a dynamic and continually growing practice focused on a broad range of intellectual property matters.

• 3+ years of focused experience drafting utility and design patent applications in the following areas:
  • Computer and electronics arts (software, AI/ML/LLMs, telecommunications, integrated circuits, semiconductors, audio processing, batteries and charging systems, power generation, etc.)
  • Mechanical and electromechanical arts (aerospace, space, consumer products, medical devices, etc.)
• Prosecuting patent applications.
• Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; lawyers must be admitted to practice in California.
• Preferred advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or computer science; degrees in mechanical engineering or related experience also considered.
• Excellent academic credentials, ability to work directly with clients, strong writing and analytical skills.

$240,000 – $365,000 per year. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job‑related factors permitted by law. Commuter and transit programs may be available in certain markets.
