Job Overview: A distinguished law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 1 to 3 years of experience to join its Eminent Domain & Inverse Condemnation Group based in Orange County, California. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney interested in a specialized litigation practice involving real property rights, public infrastructure, and complex legal issues surrounding government takings. Location:
Irvine, California
- Assist in eminent domain and inverse condemnation litigation matters
- Draft pleadings, legal memoranda, and discovery documents
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Review title and appraisal documents related to real property disputes
- Support trial preparation and client communication
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff across the practice group
- Handle multiple matters simultaneously with efficiency and accuracy
- 1 to 3 years of litigation experience, preferably with exposure to real estate or eminent domain issues
- Experience drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and analyzing title documents is preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team setting
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Strong academic performance preferred.
Certifications- Admission to the California State Bar (required)
- Excellent legal research and writing capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw or Lexis)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage client expectations
- Collaborative and proactive work ethic
- Eligibility for annual bonus (15% of base salary upon meeting 1,850 billable hour target, including up to 100 hours of approved pro bono work)
