We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 1–5 years of experience to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to guiding clients through complex family law matters from start to resolution. While prior family law experience is a plus, we welcome candidates from diverse legal backgrounds who demonstrate strong analytical, research, and writing skills and a genuine interest in transitioning into family law.
This position includes employer-paid relocation assistance for qualified candidates. Eligible moving expenses will be covered to support a smooth and seamless transition.
Qualifications- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
- 1–5 years of legal experience.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex legal matters.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw).
- Prior experience practicing family law.
- Experience representing clients in court, mediation, and negotiations.
- Familiarity with family law accounting principles.
- Manage a caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, judgments, subpoenas, correspondence, and trial briefs.
- Conduct thorough legal research and remain current on applicable laws and legal precedents.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure exceptional client service and case outcomes.
- Travel to offices and courts throughout Southern California as required.
- Demonstrate strong time management and billing discipline, maintaining a minimum of 140 billable hours per month.
