This position focuses on representing municipal agencies in matters involving public safety, code enforcement, and community well-being. The ideal candidate will have litigation experience and a strong interest in public service, municipal law, and civil enforcement. The role includes court appearances, motion practice, depositions, and trial work in service of local governments and public agencies.

DutiesRepresent municipal clients in civil litigation matters
Draft and argue motions before courts
Handle court appearances, hearings, and trials
Conduct legal research and provide written analysis
Manage depositions and discovery procedures
Offer legal counsel related to municipal code enforcement and public nuisance issues
Collaborate with agency officials and legal colleagues to craft long-term legal solutions
RequirementsExperience with civil litigation, including motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation
Familiarity with municipal law or code enforcement preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple legal matters simultaneously
Interest in public service and legal issues impacting communities
EducationJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
CertificationsActive Bar membership in the State of California
SkillsStrong legal research and writing capabilities
Excellent oral advocacy and courtroom presence
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Effective communication with clients, courts, and colleagues
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
