Associate Attorney

Bober, Peterson & Koby, LLP is searching for an Associate Attorney. We are willing to consider a newly admitted attorney who wants to litigate cases or a mid-career professional looking to change practice areas to provide a better work/life balance. Salary range will depend on experience but will be between $95,000.00 to $.

We are willing to train attorneys to litigate workers’ compensation cases. This could mean some exposure to litigating sports cases on behalf of MLB, NFL and MLS teams for the right individuals. It could also mean litigating traditional workers’ compensation cases on behalf of insurance carriers and our large, self-insured clients.

Position will be based out of Irvine, CA and during training will be in office position which can transition to a hybrid position (3 days in office) after training is completed.

Position requires someone who is a self-starter, who is curious and desires to learn “how and why”.Must be a problem solver, have an optimistic attitude and a competitive spirit – our clients want to win. Must have a desire to build and create.

We are looking for someone who wants to build a career and create client connections. We will invest time and resources to train the individual, but we are looking for someone who will invest in themself and take the initiative to learn. You must enjoy writing and be a good writer.

You must be able to develop arguments and be a quick thinker. Our cases generally involve a good deal of civil procedure and jurisdiction, but they may also involve defending disability claims which will have heavy medical involvement. You must be willing to learn and have some interest in medical issues to excel in this job.
