Our client is a premier business law firm located in Newport Beach, California, known for delivering sophisticated, partner-level legal services across core practice areas including employment law, litigation, corporate, and real estate.
They are seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Senior Attorney / Partner with a focus on Labor & Employment Defense to join their growing Employment Law Practice. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced attorney to practice at the highest level— without billable hour quotas —in a supportive and collaborative environment that emphasizes client service and professional autonomy.
Key Responsibilities- Advise employers on a wide range of employment law issues including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage & hour, leaves of absence, discipline, and termination
- Defend employers in employment litigation, including single-plaintiff and class / PAGA actions in state and federal court
- Handle administrative agency matters (DFEH / CRD, EEOC, DLSE)
- Conduct internal investigations and compliance audits
- Draft employment policies, handbooks, contracts, and separation agreements
- Develop and lead training sessions for employers on HR compliance and risk management
- Collaborate with other senior attorneys and firm leadership to expand client relationships and build the practice
- J.D. from a top-tier law school
- Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
- 5+ years of relevant labor & employment experience
The annual salary for this position is between [$300,000 – $400,000 annually]. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography / market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
