EBizCharge is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to operate and maintain the organization’s hybrid IT environment. This role administers core infrastructure (servers, virtualization, cloud platforms) and enterprise networking (routing, switching, firewalls, and secure connectivity) to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing IT systems for the company.
Key Responsibilities Infrastructure- Configure and support virtualization platforms and virtual Windows systems
- Troubleshoot and execute preventative, performative, and corrective maintenance on hypervisor components and connected storage
- Familiarity with Microsoft operating systems, Azure cloud services, solutions, licensing, and how they work together
- Assist in managing hybrid cloud resources in Microsoft Azure including compute, storage, backups, and performance
- Collaborate with internal departments to translate business and technical requirements into scalable and secure systems
- Provide tier 2/3 support and escalate complex issues as needed
- Support on-premise LAN/WAN, wireless, and ISP connectivity
- Assist with routing, switching, VPNs, and firewall configurations across office, WFH, SaaS applications, and segmented cloud hosting providers
- Troubleshoot and perform preventative, performative, and corrective maintenance on networking devices
- Optimization of firewall IDS, anti-malware, NAT, and connectivity rule configuration
- Configure and tune network and system security alerts
- Assist in managing Active Directory including object management and configuration through GPO
- Assist in managing Azure Entra object management and configuration through In Tune
- Schedule and apply third‑party security patches and operating system updates
- Implement and manage identity protection controls such as password policies, MFA, and conditional access policies
- Implement and manage data security controls such as access control lists and automated group/application assignments
- Harden new systems to reduce vulnerabilities and likelihood for inappropriate access
- Monitor, respond, and remediate infrastructure and network security events
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in infrastructure and/or network engineering
- Strong technical knowledge of virtualization, Windows server operating systems, Active Directory, and hybrid cloud environments
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs)
- Proactive approach to infrastructure optimization and process automation
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience supporting a mid‑sized enterprise (100–500 users)
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or related field from four‑year college or university
- Azure, Windows, CCNP, or applicable product‑centric certifications
- Familiarity with PCI DSS compliance and common security frameworks
- Experience with SharePoint and Exchange Online
- Experience with certificate management and encryption
- Experience working in a centralized IT and information security department
