The Mgr, Epic Applications is responsible for supporting technology objectives aligned to business goals for Electronic Health Records (EHR), Practice Management Systems (PMS), and the Epic Cogito analytics platform. This role provides oversight of the Epic analytics ecosystem including Cogito, Clarity, Caboodle, Reporting Workbench, Radar, and Slicer Dicer. This position is responsible for overall systems management, operations, optimization, and support of Epic clinical, revenue, and analytics applications across PDS business units, supported offices, and affiliated organizations.

The manager plays a key role in the design, configuration, testing, implementation, and optimization of Epic applications with a specific focus on enterprise reporting, data governance, analytics strategy, and decision support. The Mgr, Epic Applications serves as a recognized leader and subject matter expert in Epic Cogito and analytics, ensuring accurate, scalable, and actionable reporting capabilities to support operational, clinical, and financial performance.

Erroneous decisions or failure to adhere to objectives may result in reporting inaccuracies, compliance risks, financial impact, and delays in strategic initiatives.

• Achieves organizational objectives through coordinated leadership of subordinate staff and analytics teams.
• Advises senior leadership on optimization, stabilization, reporting maturity
• Develops and executes a roadmap to advance analytics maturity, including performance dashboards, KPI standardization, and data-driven decision making.
• Leads the management, configuration, and optimization of Epic Cogito tools including Clarity, Caboodle, Radar dashboards, Reporting Workbench, and Slicer Dicer.
• Reviews current analytics architecture and reporting alignment with clinical, operational,
• Oversees enterprise data extracts and reporting processes for internal stakeholders and affiliated organizations.
• Ensures data integrity, accuracy, security, segmentation, and compliance across reporting platforms.
• Facilitates coordination across projects requiring collaboration between application teams, data teams, infrastructure, and operational leaders.
• Identifies and removes impediments impacting analytics delivery and team productivity.
• Establishes governance processes for reporting intake, prioritization, validation, and deployment.
• Ensures analytics solutions follow IT governance, change control, and security policies.
• Reports on system performance, data trends, quality metrics, and operational insights to executive leadership.
• Works closely with engineers, analysts, and technical teams to architect optimal analytics solutions and enhance the patient, customer, and user IT experience.
• Plans and manages user training, reporting education, and adoption strategies for Epic analytics tools.
• Creates a culture of teamwork and accountability within the analytics and application teams.
• Ensures team members adhere to defined internal controls and organizational policies.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 6+ years of related experience; or 8+ years equivalent experience.
• 5+ years Epic experience, including experience with Epic Cogito, Clarity, Caboodle, or reporting tools.
• Experience managing or leading a team.
• At least 2 Epic Certifications, preferably including Cogito-related certification.
• Strong understanding of healthcare data workflows and reporting structures.

• Epic Cogito, Clarity Data Model, Caboodle Data Warehouse, or Radar Certification.
• Experience in healthcare, dental, or retail healthcare environments.
• Knowledge of integrated delivery systems and data governance frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of Epic EHR, PMS, and Cogito analytics ecosystem.
• Deep understanding of reporting architecture, data modeling, data integrity, and system integration.
