  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release cycles using Agile methodologies.
Application Rationalization and Modernization
  • Conduct application portfolio assessments to identify redundancy, technical debt, and modernization opportunities.
  • Develop and execute rationalization strategies—retire obsolete apps, consolidate duplicates, and migrate to cloud/SaaS platforms.
  • Lead modernization efforts including refactoring monolithic apps to microservices, containerization, and API enablement.
Team and Resource Management

  • Prepare status reports highlighting milestones, technical debt reduction, and modernization ROI for stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with product owners to refine requirements and prioritize rationalization initiatives.
Quality and Technical Governance
  • Ensure applications meet performance benchmarks, accessibility standards, security requirements, and post-modernization SLAs.
  • Champion CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring tools, and governance for rationalized portfolios.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, change approvals, and portfolio governance processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with business units to translate requirements into technical specifications, prototypes, and modernization roadmaps.
  • Manage vendor relationships for third-party components, migration services, and platform modernization.
  • Control development and modernization budgets through resource forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, and optimization.
Required
  • Bachelor’s in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 8+ years in software development, with 5+ years managing applications teams and modernization projects.
  • Proven success delivering customer‑facing applications and leading app portfolio transformations.
  • Strong proficiency in development stacks—JavaScript/Type Script, React/Node.js, Java/.NET, Python, or similar.
  • Experience with cloud development (AWS/Azure), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), microservices, and legacy modernization tools.
  • Deep knowledge of Agile/Dev Ops tools—JIRA, Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, and application portfolio management platforms. Track record mentoring developers, scaling engineering teams, and driving rationalization/modernization initiatives.
Preferred
  • PMP, AWS Certified Developer, TOGAF, or relevant modernization certifications preferred.
