Overview

Under general guidance, the Senior IT Business Analyst plays a key role in connecting business needs with IT solutions within the Project Management Office (PMO). This position is responsible for analyzing, documenting, and optimizing business processes, gathering and defining requirements for IT projects, and supporting the successful execution of enterprise-wide initiatives.

Working closely with Project Managers, stakeholders, and technical teams, the Senior Business Analyst ensures that projects align with business objectives, enhance operational efficiency, and drive digital transformation.

General Duties
  • Work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Work closely with business units, stakeholders, and IT teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for IT projects.
  • Define and document functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, workflows, and process improvements.
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify opportunities for system enhancements and business process optimization.
  • Collaborate with end-users to ensure business needs are accurately translated into technical solutions.
  • Project Support & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Partner with Project Managers to support project planning, execution, and delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder meetings, and project status updates.
  • Act as a liaison between business units, IT development teams, and vendors to ensure project alignment and smooth execution.
  • Support the PMO in risk identification, change management, and issue resolution.
  • Education and Experience
  • Education equivalent to a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business analysis, business administration, finance, or related field.
  • A minimum of approximately five to ten (5-10) years of professional level business analysis experience related to computer systems, business, finance, human resources, marketing, or other business operations applications.
  • Experience working in a PMO or project-driven environment, supporting enterprise-wide IT initiatives.
  • Strong background in requirements gathering, process modeling, and system analysis.
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ERP, CRM, ITSM, or enterprise applications is a plus.
  • Current CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or Project Management Certification (PMP) is preferred.
  • Highly proficient with MS Office, MS Project, MS Teams, and issue tracking software, such as Jira, Mantis Hub.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork mindset.
