Headquartered in Irvine, CA, Shur‑Lok manufactures fastening systems with superior locking devices for critical requirements including engine module assembly, structural assembly, rotor blade attachment, and aircraft engine shaft and spindle applications. Operations at the Irvine location include CNC Machining, CNC Waterjet Cutting, Laser Marking, Heat Treating, NDT, and EDM.
Position SummaryThis role is a key position related to the maintenance and continuous improvement of our Infor/IBM I/iSeries/AS400/Mapics ERP/Powerlink system running the business. This role will directly help with the functional departments of the business to understand business processes, help spec out improvements to processes and then develop needed enhancements to the ERP and related business systems. This role is remote and available for candidates in CA, KS, MA, MI, NV, NJ, NY, PA, TN, TX, UT, and WI.
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley, and current financial and IT requirements. Align information technology policies and procedures with division objectives and establish IT systems and controls to ensure user satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain IBMi AS400/Mapics ERP System / Powerlink
- Code new programs and enhance existing programs
- Analyze user requests or problems to reach and implement solutions independently; maintain and enhance existing AS400 applications
- Design and develop reports: create comprehensive and detailed reports based on data analysis and user requirements
- Ensure 100% compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley and corporate/division policies
- Define user information requirements by conferring with users and analyzing requirements; draft detailed technical specifications for review and acceptance before development begins
- Analyze requests quickly to determine interrelationships with other modules/systems to assess impact and provide realistic timelines based on current workload
- Assist in trouble‑shooting ERP software application issues and provide technical support to users, including creating ad‑hoc reports, data analysis, training, and problem solving
- Develop, modify, and maintain assigned programs; develop databases, programs, and procedures necessary to integrate and/or implement the system; test system fully to determine operational reliability
- Ensure users receive professional and timely support and service
- Maintain a positive relationship with all business departments
- Work with other IT managers within the division and company to leverage best practices and resources
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT with expert level knowledge in Infor XA development
- Must have 5 years’ IT experience working with a MAPICS ERP system; preferably with MAPICS 9.2 (or above) including Power Link
- Extensive experience in administration of an IBM I / iSeries / AS400 / Mapics / Powerlink environment
- Proficiency in IBM I‑Series (AS/400) technologies – RPG, DB2/400 RPGLE, CLLE, DB2, SQLRPGLE, MC2, FTP, Fromsprint, Free Format RPG
- Experience with SQL Server, database connection and link servers
- Extensive business experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong project management experience
- Highly motivated and driven individual
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
- Must be a team player with a strong customer orientation
- Ability to successfully manage many issues and projects simultaneously
- Must be able to propose and implement solutions independently
- Demonstrated ‘can‑do’ drive and attitude
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $85,300 to $140,000 US Dollar (USD) based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the company's quarterly cash bonus plan paid at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the company's bonus multiple based on company performance in the applicable quarter.
