Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• AWS Architect, VMware Migration, HCX, VMware Cloud on AWS, VMC, NSX-T, Direct Connect, Cloud Migration, VMC on AWS.
• This role requires a bridge between VMware and AWS worlds, focusing heavily on the specific tooling like HCX for a smooth transition.
• Experience:
  
  5+ years in IT, with significant experience in VMware (vSphere, NSX, vCenter) and 3+ years in AWS.
• Certifications:
  
  AWS Solutions Architect Professional, VMware VCP/VCDX (Cloud/Data Center Virtualization).
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Deep knowledge of vSphere, NSX-T, HCX; strong AWS services (VPC, EC2, S3, EBS, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect/VPN); scripting (Power Shell, Python).

• Design & Strategy:
  Architect end‑to‑end cloud solutions for migrating on‑prem VMware workloads to AWS using VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC) and HCX.
• VMware HCX Expertise:
  Plan, deploy, configure HCX (Interconnect, Network Extension, WAN Optimization) for secure, optimized workload mobility (vMotion, RAV, Bulk, Cloud‑to‑Cloud).
• AWS Integration:
  Design AWS landing zones (VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, IAM, Direct Connect/VPN) to support VMC SDDC and migrated VMs.
• Migration Execution:
  Lead the migration process, ensuring minimal downtime, IP preservation, and performance.
• Post‑Migration:
  Optimize AWS costs (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans), performance (EC2 types, storage tiers), and security.
• Automation:
  Develop automation (Terraform, Cloud Formation, scripts) for deployment and operations.

Salary Range: $100,000 to $140,000
