Sr. Consultant or Principal

Slalom Data Engineering & Architecture discipline is comprised of passionate, flexible technologists who love to practice and hone their craft. I will work in collaborative teams with minimal oversight to design and deliver innovative solutions on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform using core cloud data warehouse tools, distributed processing engines, event‑streaming platforms, and other modern data technologies.

While building the next generation of data platforms, I will understand the client’s current environment and technical challenges, and plan their future state architecture. I will lead the analysis, architecture, design, and development of the client’s next‑generation Data Platform Solution, facilitate design sessions, and communicate pros and cons of the solution to drive consensus. I will break down complex tasks and ensure timely, high‑quality development.

As time allows, I will participate in pre‑sales activities by defining solutions for prospects and helping the business development team estimate and plan projects.

Broad experience in architecture design, deep expertise in one or more data‑engineering technologies, a curious mindset, a thirst for learning, and a hunger for fearless experimentation. I am a self‑starter, effective at breaking large problems into smaller ones, and I share knowledge within my projects and the broader Slalom community.

Hybrid/In‑office:
We are hybrid but expect that if the team leader requires onsite presence at the client or Slalom office, the candidate can meet those expectations.

  • Principal: $151,000 – $187,500
• Phoenix
  • Sr. Consultant: $125,000 – $155,500
  • Principal: $138,500 – $172,000
