The Senior Test Engineer is a key leader in quality assurance, driving the design, development, and implementation of testing standards and methodologies to ensure excellence across complex systems. This role leads medium to large internal projects, creating detailed project and work plans while analyzing and evaluating systems to optimize processes and solve technical challenges. Acting as a subject matter expert, the Senior Test Engineer mentors junior QA engineers, collaborates with users and testers to define requirements, and develops comprehensive test plans for full coverage of development products.

Responsibilities include crafting and maintaining test cases, validating specifications, and ensuring adherence to QA best practices, standards, and tools. With expertise in problem identification, root cause analysis, and resolution, this individual ensures timely escalation and documentation of issues while actively participating in Agile ceremonies. Additionally, the role influences testing strategy—delivering reliable, high-quality solutions that meet compliance standards, KPIs, and organizational goals.

• Irvine, California

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  -OR- a combination of equivalent education and experience
• 8 or more years of related experience

• Hands‑on experience with creating test plans and test cases
• Experience with TFS, Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Test Manager (MTM), Microsoft Office tools suite, T‑SQL, Claims
• Some experience writing SQL queries to support testing efforts with a demonstrated ability to handle complex joins
• Experience with automation tools like SOAPUI, Selenium and/or HP Rational
• Experience in at least one software automation language such as C#, VB, Java script, Perl, Python or any scripting language
• Extensive experience in SQL, including complex database operations for use with testing needs
• Experience creating stored procedures
• Experience in the Health Insurance industry
• Experience with the Facets data system
