Overview

IT Project Manager position at Acra Lending
. Our headquarters are in Irvine, California with options for remote or on-site work; benefits include a free gym membership for Irvine office staff where applicable. Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, budgets, resource allocations, and reporting to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within budget.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert for project management processes and systems; drive improvements in process, documentation, tracking, and implementation of enhancements to project systems.
  • Collaborate with internal project teams to ensure accurate task assignment, completion, and documentation.
  • Manage prioritization, communication and approvals with stakeholders; provide updates on project status, gather user feedback, and address issues as they arise.
  • Provide updates on strategic technology projects to management with progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations using company project management systems.
  • Set release schedules and deployment notification processes, including technical and software release information, reference materials and user guides, and post-implementation support and communications.
  • Manage scope changes, change-control boards, workflow processes, and technical team activities to stay aligned with objectives.
  • Define and maintain internal and external project SLAs with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendations reports to identify successful and unsuccessful elements.
  • Be aware of, research, and integrate emerging technologies related to mortgage project management to improve outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5 - 8+ years in technical project management, from small to enterprise-level implementations.
  • Solid organizational skills with attention to detail and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to drive task clarity, completion, and decision-making with technical and operational stakeholders.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Mortgage/financial services background: LOS and LSS, in- and out-sourced integrations, process and systems management environments.
  • Experience maturing SDLC with service and project management application integrations for project management processes (e.g., Agile, waterfall, JIT, Kanban).
  • Familiar with modern data platforms, MDM, and analytics enablement.
Education And/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Professional Project certification from an accredited institution is a plus, especially with technical application.
Skills
  • Language Skills:
    Ability to read, understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Mathematical Skills:
    Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret data; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Reasoning Ability:
    Ability to apply common sense and follow detailed instructions; handle problems with a few concrete variables.
  • Computer Skills:
    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
