This role is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing labor relations across the South Division, including all California ministries. The incumbent will guide strategic initiatives, contract administration, bargaining processes, and relationship building with labor representatives.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction on labor relations services aligned with strategic priorities and organizational goals.
- Proactively identify labor relations trends, interpret and report activity to inform strategy.
- Design and implement negotiation strategies, collaborating with legal counsel and HR.
- Prepare contract proposals and oversee bargaining and contract implementation.
- Advise leaders and HR professionals on labor issues to guide decision‑making.
- Develop and implement labor‑related communications and training for core leaders.
- Craft initiatives to improve caregiver and core leader experiences.
- Build and develop a functional team through recruiting, training, coaching, and succession planning.
- Use metrics to predict needs and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Embed the organization’s mission throughout the labor relations process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Organization Development, Industrial Relations, or related field;
Master’s preferred. - Minimum 8 years of leadership in a labor environment and 10+ years in complex, multi‑location organizations; healthcare experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to execute strategic initiatives, enhance retention, and reduce turnover.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with agility in employee relations challenges.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment and labor laws (FLSA, NLRA, ADA, etc.).
- Experience managing change in dynamic environments.
- Team‑building and staff‑development skills.
- Impactful work transforming labor relations and improving workforce wellbeing.
- Autonomy to innovate with strong leadership support.

This position is based in Irvine, CA with travel as necessary. Pay range: $85.88 – $137.30 per hour (subject to experience and qualifications).
