Responsibilities
  • In this role, you will draw blood from COH patients and donors using appropriate procedures, guidelines and standards as well as process specimens for in-house / send-out laboratory testing. Working under the direction of Phlebotomy Supervisor, you will provide high-level support and assistance with a variety of tasks within the laboratory, including but not limited to: new staff mentoring, specimen / workflow problem issue resolution, special request draws, supply ordering and procedure development.

    Cross-training in specimen processing as well as bone marrow assist will also encompass this role.
  • Note:

    This position involves varying shift times and requires flexibility to meet operational needs , . Weekends/Holidays  Rotating on a 3-week cycle (For example, weekly rotation: Work, On-Call, OFF).
Your qualifications
  • High School or equivalent (GED)
  • Three to five years of experience as a competent phlebotomist
  • California Phlebotomy Technician license required
  • CPR (through the American Heart Association)
