Reimbursement Specialist - RXB
OSO Home Care, Inc., a privately owned corporation founded in 1984, is located where the 405 and 55 freeways meet. This on‑site position may include a hybrid work arrangement after a successful 6‑week paid training period.
Job SummaryVerify eligibility, determine coverage risk, set up claims, adjudicate PBM and pharmacy claims, manage prior authorizations, compute cost versus reimbursement, oversee account overview, and collect patient out‑of‑pocket payments. Eligible for a quarterly incentive bonus.
Schedule and Compensation- Full‑time, 8‑hour shift
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
- Rotating weekends: 9 am – 5 pm (typically every 5th Saturday; remote possible based on eligibility)
- Rotating coverage on the 1st of each month when it falls on a Sunday or holiday: 9 am – 5 pm
- Pay: $25.00 – $27.00 per hour
- Paid training: 6 weeks
- Minimum 2 years of medical, hospital, and/or home‑health billing experience
- Minimum 2 years as a Pharmacy Technician or Medical Biller
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Knowledge of proper billing/CMS guidelines
- Strong knowledge of insurance eligibility (Medicare A‑D, government, and commercial)
- Good understanding of ICD‑10 coding
- Familiarity with pharmacy coding (NDC)
- Pharmacy claim adjudication
- Prior authorization process (submission and appeals)
- Coverage gap knowledge
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, EMR
