Staff Accountant - AR

Key Responsibilities

• Handling incoming requests from tenant by phone, e‑mail, and managing the inquiries and requests
• Manage accounts receivable to ensure timely rent collection by following company policy for non‑payment, and update accounts receivable comments.
• Collect, review, input, and calculate monthly and annual tenant sales
• Prepare, analyze and post daily tenant cash receipts on a timely basis
• Prepare tenant account reconciliations
• Review daily cash reconciliation
• Run, review, and post monthly tenant rent billings
• Review and process late fees
• Send statements and support for annual CAM conciliations and estimates upon request
• Prepare billing adjustments, write off, payment correction, marries, and Security Deposit Refund/Forfeit based off lease documents and open/close notifications
• Manage tenant refund stale dated checks
• Compiling proper backup and send out monthly bill backs invoices
• Provide accounting support to property management team and participate in periodic meetings with property managers
• Assist with ad‑hoc reports as required

• Work in a team environment while also being able to work independently on certain tasks
• Use of Microsoft products (including Word and Excel)
• Utilize Office/Retail specific applications (MRI)
• Build and maintain strong and positive relationships with Operations and Tenants

• Minimum one year experience in collections and customer service environment
• Strong organizational skills and detailed‑oriented
• Self‑starter, ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills
• Flexible to change and able to work in team environment
• Demonstrate initiative and professionalism
• Excellent customer service skills
• Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

Base Pay Range: $27.50 - $33.51

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
