We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant with a dynamic and versatile background to join our growing accounting & finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, brings cross-functional expertise, and is eager to contribute to process improvements, strategic projects, and financial leadership.
As a key member of our accounting team, you’ll oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure the integrity of financial data, and partner with teams across the business to support financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
- Lead general ledger maintenance and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
- Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and other departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis
- Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation
- Implement and optimize accounting processes, controls, and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reporting
- Analyze financial trends and performance indicators to guide strategic initiatives
- Lead or participate in cross-functional projects (e.g., ERP implementations, M&A integration, policy development)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a mix of public accounting and private industry
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls (SOX compliance a plus)
- Proven ability to work across departments and adapt to shifting priorities and business needs
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and desire to grow professionally
- Background in multiple industries or diverse business environments (e.g., startup, corporate, nonprofit)
- Experience with financial modeling, data visualization, or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience within accounting teams
- Comfortable working in a hybrid or evolving environment
