About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant with experience in R&D tax accounting and related financial reporting. This position plays a key role in identifying and documenting research and development tax credits, supporting Section 174 compliance, and contributing to accurate financial reporting under ASC 730 and ASC 740.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and review R&D tax credit calculations, documentation, and filings
• Interpret and apply ASC 730 (R&D costs) and ASC 740 (income taxes)
• Partner with business units to identify qualified research expenses and projects
• Support quarterly and year-end tax provision and deferred tax analysis
• Coordinate with external advisors and auditors
• Research federal and state R&D tax legislation and recommend process improvements
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MST preferred)
• 5–8 years of experience in corporate tax or public accounting, with exposure to R&D credits or Section 174
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and R&D tax credit documentation
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Comfortable working remotely with cross-functional teams
