About the Position

Reporting to the VP of Finance, this individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial systems. This individual will have a strong accounting background, ideally with a CPA, and will balance leadership of the team with ensuring accuracy of all activity and reporting.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with an emphasis in accounting required; CPA highly desired
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive general and accounting experience
• Proficiency with MS Office and ERP accounting systems; experience with Net Suite ERP preferred
• Experience in a Private Equity backed environment
• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Ability to work with and manage a high level of detailed and confidential information; ability to identify and resolve complex problems; communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Experience working in a multi-country environment (MX preferred).
• Spanish language skills highly desirable
• Experience in a manufacturing company
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical ability
• Able to work well with Accounting Team and cross-functionally

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage general ledger entries, financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Conduct a 13- and 52-week cash flow analysis and prepare bank reconciliations to guide decision-making.
• Ensure accuracy of physical inventory

Tax Compliance & Preparation

• Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations and update internal processes as required.

Leadership & Staff Management

• Support, collaborate with, the Accounting team including Score’s US and MX teams
• Lead efforts to implement and maintain systems of checks and balances within the department, ensuring cross training.

Financial Operations

• Actively lead AP and AR processes.
• Manage payroll processing for weekly and semi-monthly periods, including commission calculations, allowances, tax filings, and benefits tracking.
• Support 3rd party audits

Commercial Insurance

• Collaborate on the annual renewal of liability and workers' compensation insurance policies, while acting as the primary liaison for these plans.

Policy Development & Compliance

• Develop and implement financial policies and accounting procedures to enhance internal efficiency and maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reports in accordance with accounting principles.

Accounting Systems Management

• Act as department administrator of Net Suite, ensuring configuration to maximize accuracy and effectiveness.

Base salary range is $175,000 to $230,000 depending on experience.
