Corporate Controller

Overview
:
Our client, a dynamic company in the defense and space manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to join their team on a contract basis. This role is designed to provide financial leadership. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual with a solid background in corporate accounting and government contracting.

Responsibilities
:

• Financial Oversight
  :
  Manage daily accounting operations, including reviewing bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow.
• Month-End Close
  :
  Ensure timely completion of month-end close processes and accurate financial reporting to the CFO.
• Regulatory Compliance
  :
  Maintain familiarity with government contract regulations (FAR and DFARS) and ensure compliance.
• Team Interaction
  :
  Lead daily meetings and collaborate with the accounting team to address ongoing tasks and issues.
• Process Improvement
  :
  Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and reporting.
• System Usage
  :
  Utilize Deltek Costpoint for accounting tasks and SAP Concur for expense reporting.

Qualifications
:

• Education
  :
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certification
  :
  Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
• Experience
  :
  • Previous experience in a Corporate Controller or similar role.
  • Experience with government contracting, particularly FAR and DFARS regulations.
  • Background in the tech, construction, aerospace, or defense industries preferred.
  • Department of Defense (DoD) experience is a plus.
• Technical Skills
  :
  Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint and SAP Concur is advantageous.
• Hiring Timeline

  Immediate start preferred.
