Senior Tax Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $45.00 to $62.00 per hour.

• Prepare and review monthly state sales and use tax returns and excise tax filings.
• Analyze and reconcile tax accounts on a monthly and annual basis to ensure accuracy.
• Apply, renew, and maintain state and local tax registrations, certifications, and licenses.
• Organize and maintain tax documentation and records for compliance and audit readiness.
• Draft reports and provide periodic updates to management regarding tax status and compliance.

• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external agencies to resolve tax-related inquiries.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills in managing multiple priorities.
• Work independently with initiative and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Apply problem-solving skills to research tax issues and implement process improvements.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive financial information.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience in sales and use tax compliance and reporting.
• 3+ years of experience in financial accounting and general ledger processes.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems for tax and accounting tasks.
• Maintain a solid understanding of general accounting principles and internal controls.
