PositionDescription
The Financial Planning Analyst will have the opportunity to be exposed to most facets of wealth management, including financial planning, investment management, and client services/operations. A wide variety of responsibilities and projects will be assigned to acquaint the position with a financial planning practice's everyday activities, including -
Responsibilities- Assist with day-to-day operational workflows that keep the firm running smoothly.
- Respond to routine client inquiries with professionalism and a client-first mindset.
- Schedule and coordinate client meetings, calls, and follow-ups.
- Review, enter, and maintain accurate client information among various software programs, including Right Capital®, Redtail®, Orion®, Holistiplan®, Nitrogen®, and Schwab Advisor Center®.
- Work alongside the firm's Client Services Director to assist with existing client needs and new client onboarding including timely preparation, processing, and accurate execution of all required paperwork and/or service requests.
- Work collaboratively with financial planners to develop plans for client meetings.
- Participate in internal meetings, client planning sessions, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support financial planning team by creating presentations and materials for business development efforts.
- Assist with and actively participate in firm events (virtual and in-person) including planning, coordination, and execution to promote current and prospective client awareness of the firm.
- Manage highly confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Support compliance-related activities where appropriate.
- Bachelor s degree
- 2+ years of professional work experience in the financial services industry
- Certified Financial Planner® professional (or certificate program in process)
- Core knowledge of the financial industry, financial products, and financial planning concepts
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (with impeccable grammar)
- Technologically savvy, with expert skills in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel;
Proficiency with other CRM and financial planning technology tools a plus - Interest in and developing skills in planning areas, including financial planning, investments, budgeting, taxes, risk management and estate planning
- Detail-focused with highly organized work habits, including excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Intelligence, efficiency, adaptability, accuracy, and a personal commitment to excellence are highly valued, along with a desire to maintain a positive work environment.
- High energy and the ability to work independently are important as well.
