Position: ANALYST INVESTMENT - CA - at Pathway Capital Management Irvine, CA

ANALYST INVESTMENT - CA - job at Pathway Capital Management. Irvine, CA. Investment Analysts are responsible for analyzing potential investment opportunities—including funds, secondaries, direct equities, and direct credits across private equity, private credit, and infrastructure—and monitoring client portfolios. Investment Analysts work closely with senior and mid-level professionals on small client and due diligence teams.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Performing quantitative and qualitative reviews of potential private markets fund investments
  • Supporting in-depth, rapidly moving underwriting of potential direct equity, direct credit, and secondary investments
  • Analyzing support the due diligence process, including analyzing financial statements of private markets partnerships, reviewing partnership portfolio company valuations, and assessing relative performance
  • Participating in meetings with fund managers
  • Supporting Pathway’s client servicing efforts, including preparing client reports and presentations
  • Assisting with special reporting, research, and due diligence projects on an ad hoc basis
Qualifications:
  • Analytical experience in investment banking, consulting, audit, investment management, or other similar fields (including internships)
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, business economics, or related field with a record of high academic achievement
  • A strong interest in investments and capital markets
  • Experience working in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
  • Ability and desire to work in a collaborative environment
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and resourceful
  • Self-motivated with the ability to focus on multiple tasks and deliverables
