Job Duties- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Prepare product.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication SkillsAbility to comprehend and give correct written instructions; communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (calculator may be used); must produce correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders. Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately perform precise movements. Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work ConditionsExposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks; in‑store temperatures range from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F+ in some areas; sudden temperature changes; food odors; cornmeal dust; cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler; hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F; sharp edges andاهرة-moving mechanical parts.
Sensing: verbal and hearing on the telephone; near and mid‑range vision; depth perception.about; differentiation between hot and cold surfaces.
Temperaments: directing activities, performing repetitive tasks, working with others, working under stress, meeting strict quality‑control standards, interacting with people, analyzing data, making judgments and decisions.
Most tasks performed standing; walking short distances; lifting bulk deliveries up to 50 lb; carrying heavy items up to 30 lb; pushing/pulling trays and dollies; climbing stairs and ladders as needed; stooping, bending, squatting; reaching up to 72 in; eye‑hand coordination and motor skills are essential.
