Position SummaryIncumbent assists staff, patients, and visitors in maintaining compliance with parking rules and regulations. Incumbent will patrol assigned areas on foot and by motor vehicle and issue parking violation citations, warnings, and courtesy notices for illegal parking, and will boot or tow vehicles as necessary. Monitor parking areas for safety/security related situations reporting any activity to the Medical Center Security Department as needed or UCI Police.

Salary Range:
Hourly Rate —
Minimum $22.30 •
Midpoint $25.85 •
Maximum $29.40
Responsibilities include:
- Safety and enforcement of parking rules and regulations
- Patrol assigned areas on foot and by motor vehicle
- Issue parking violation citations, warnings, and courtesy notices
- Boot or tow vehicles as necessary
- Monitor areas for safety/security issues and report to Medical Center Security or UCI Police
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Must successfully complete FBI fingerprinting process and maintain it throughout employment
- Employment is contingent upon satisfactory background investigation
- Continued employment contingent upon proof of satisfactory driving record
- Must be able to perform sustained foot patrol
- Minimum six months related experience, preferably in customer service/hospitality
- Must be available to work alternate schedules and overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Current State of California Driver’s License
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Employment contingent upon completion of satisfactory background investigation. Position subject to DMV Pull Notice System; continued employment contingent upon driving record
- Knowledge of applicable procedures and regulations concerning parking enforcement and traffic control
- Working knowledge of the California Vehicle Code
- Working knowledge of computer systems and software
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
