Position Summary:

Braun's Internship Program is designed to provide college and university enrolled or recently graduated students with a meaningful experience within the Life Sciences industry. Students will work on a finite project determined by each department, gaining valuable corporate or operations learning experience. All internships are a minimum of ten to twelve weeks. Mentors will be assigned to guide interns, who will present their internship experience to their department at the end.

Required:

• High school diploma/G.E.D or equivalent
• Completion of sophomore or higher level at an accredited college or university
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• 0‑2 years related experience
• Student enrolled in a 4‑year college or university majoring in an Engineering Degree
• Computer skills:
  Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook), Solid Works

• Complete a finite project assigned by a department, contributing to product sustaining engineering work.
• Learn and apply industry procedures, guidelines, and best practices within a Life Sciences environment.
• Receive detailed instructions and work is typically checked and monitored on a routine basis.
• Resolve routine problems with limited judgment when necessary.
• Present internship findings and experience to the department.

Light work – up to 20 lbs of force occasionally; 10 lbs of force frequently; negligible force constantly to move objects.

• Occasionally: reaching upward/downward, push/pull, climbing stairs/ladders, finger feeling, handling, kneeling/crawling, stooping/squatting.
• Frequently: standing, sitting, talking, walking.
• Constantly: visual acuity with or without corrective lenses; hearing; seeing (depth perception, color vision).

Hourly Pay Rate: $21.50 – $29.50
