📌 About the Opportunity

Are you a Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Designer who loves hands‑on design, real project ownership, and the chance to work on complex federal facilities that actually make a difference? This is a standout opportunity to become the go‑to Revit production lead on impactful healthcare and defense infrastructure projects across Southern California. You’ll join a tight‑knit multidisciplinary team where your work directly supports the mechanical systems that keep federal facilities safe, efficient, and operational.

If you’re someone who thrives on independence, problem‑solving, and meaningful design work — this role is built for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Take full ownership of Revit modeling and documentation for HVAC & plumbing systems
  • Update and generate AutoCAD drawings for as‑builts, legacy files, and details
  • Run mechanical load calculations using Trane or similar modeling tools
  • Contribute directly to projects ranging from $25K–$1M in design scope
  • Support senior engineers by absorbing production‑level work and executing deliverables with autonomy
  • Participate in brief site visits (1–2 days) for field verification and system assessments
  • Coordinate with architecture, electrical, and controls engineers across multidisciplinary scopes
What Makes This Role Unique
  • Your work supports national‑impact federal healthcare and defense projects

  • A team culture that values initiative, technical depth, and craftsmanship
Must‑Have Skills
  • Revit expertise — you’ve owned mechanical models, not just contributed
  • AutoCAD proficiency
  • Strong background in both HVAC and plumbing design
  • Plumbing must be at least 50% of your design capability
  • Experience running load calcs/modeling (Trane, HAP, Carrier, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • U.S. citizenship (required due to federal project work)
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
  • Experience with industrial or medical facilities
  • Exposure to controls systems and coordination with electrical
  • EIT or interest in pursuing licensure
  • Federal/VA/DoD project familiarity
What Success Looks Like

Within Your First 90 Days, You’ll Be

  • Running your own scoped tasks and small projects
