Mechanical Engineer II – FPC (Fans, Pumps & Compressors)
Irvine, CA 92618

Job Summary:We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer II with experience in fans, pumps, and compressors to support the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems in a defense/aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, analyze, develop, test, and troubleshoot mechanical & electro‑mechanical equipment
- Support fabrication and hands‑on hardware testing
- Perform drawing reviews and ensure compliance with drafting standards
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s/MBA a plus)
- 3–5 years of experience in mechanical system design & development (defense/aerospace preferred)
- Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics & heat transfer (thermal systems experience highly preferred)
- Experience with military specifications and ANSI Y14.5 (GD&T) standards
- Hands‑on experience with hydraulics, feed systems, linear controls, basic electronics, and servomechanisms
- General machine shop knowledge a plus, Ideal candidate can manage cost, schedule, and technical requirements in a fast‑paced environment.
